Since 1993 Ars Aures Acoustic Technology has been manufacturing high-end audio components of unsurpassed quality. From the very beginning the objective has been to create a perfect blend of highest-quality sound, technological innovation and timeless design. Highly trained technicians assemble all Ars Aures components by hand in its AAT factory. Because “Handmade audio instrument” is a label that is taken very seriously by Ars Aures. Ars Aures’s research and development department constantly strives to not only keep up with the latest advances but to set its own trends and standards. From the first design sketch via a number of prototypes to the final product shipped from the AAT factory: each component that bears the Ars Aures name has been developed in its entirety in-house. As an audio pioneer, Ars Aures has created a number of legendary components that have become icons of the high-end audio universe.
Philosophy
Ars Aures philosophical approach is predicated on a constant exchange between the heart and the mind, emotion and science inter-weaved.
The scientific approach encompasses the preliminary measurements of the best passive components, drivers and expensive internal wiring, Amplifiers and Electronics. The components are warmed up prior to any listening test to recreate what a client will hear in his own environment. Our handcrafted process requires lengthy quality control tests that must be done to insure that each speaker can be certified as an Ars Aures product.
The heart or emotional approach is evidenced as we search for an evocative sound by selecting the electron-acoustic materials and tuning the crossover as we listen. Natural sound, dynamics and sound stage are important and indispensable qualities when searching for sound reproduction of musical event. Without these traits the feeling of freedom of expression and aliveness cannot exist. Our path to High-End is simple and is based upon quality. The aim is to capture the emotions of the music that hang in the air and bring them to you.
The Human Touch
The sound world created by your loudspeakers is a highly personal one. So while scientific experiments, computer models and a good grasp of physics are essential in the design process, when it comes to building them, we believe there’s no substitute for skilled human hands.
All our loudspeakers are built in-house by our own craftsmen. That obsessive attention to detail runs through everything we do. Take our coil formers, which are highly perforated to improve air flow and reduce resonance. Most people wouldn’t notice it, so no other manufacturer has addressed it. But we did, and found a way to not merely reduce, but eliminate it.
We select our materials based on robust engineering and acoustic principles. For example, all our diaphragms are made from coating compound fibre cone which gives a better combination of stiffness and density than either metal-cone or PP and single material, and a higher price-to-performance ratio than more exotic elements. Similarly, our compact radial magnets are made from alloys of rare-earth elements, because these produce significantly stronger magnetic fields than ferrite or alnico alternatives.
